Residential Roofing in Dallas-Ft. Worth
Finding the right roofing contractor can be a daunting task. Choosing the proper roofing material alone can be challenging, let alone navigating an insurance claim and multiple repair types. 3:16 Roofing & Construction is here to help you find confidence in your decisions. After all, this is your home, and we believe you should feel at peace in it.
These are the most common residential roof types in DFW:
Asphalt Shingles: We prefer to use CertainTeed shingles manufactured by Saint Gobain, one of the largest construction material companies in the world, on our residential homes. Asphalt shingles are one of the most common roofing materials out there. Asphalt is very easy to install and provides flexibility during its installation process. Asphalt shingles come in a variety of colors that will satisfy every homeowner. Find your color now!
Clay Tile: Tile roofing has an incredibly long life span, with the ability to last over 70 years. Tile roofs are naturally weather resistant, and they perform much better under harsh conditions than other roofing materials. Tile roofing can also be very aesthetically appealing, making it popular among the Southwest. Clay tile shingles are resistant to wind and fire, however they are porous in nature, making them prone to chips and cracks.
Concrete Tile: Concrete tiles are made of a mixture of sand, cement and water, which are molded under heat and high pressure. This process makes concrete tiles stronger and more impact resistant than traditional clay tiles. Concrete tiles come in a large variety of shapes and can be made to emulate other tyle types such as asphalt shingles or wood shakes. The exposed surface of a concrete tile may be finished with a paint like material. Like clay tiles, concrete tiles are resistant to wind and fire.
Metal: Metal roofs reflect heat effectively, reducing energy costs in the summer, and helps to insulate homes in the winter. Metal roofs often last over 50 years. This is just one of the reasons homeowners choose metal over asphalt shingles. Metal roofing is often praised for its hail resistance, though it can be prone to show wear from extreme impact. Metal roofs come in many styles and shapes, and can often be customized to fit your project.
